Murphy Ultralight Tents has created one of the lightest freestanding tents on the market. It is a fully enclosed dome tent made with ultralight waterproof fabric. This vented single-wall hybrid tent utilizes Easton Mountaineering 3.9 Custom Carbon Fiber Tent Poles that make for a quick and easy setup, and four large mesh vents to reduce condensation. The tent is extremely lightweight and ideal for 3-season backpacking for one or two people.

* Listed weight includes tent, rain fly, poles, and stuff sacks. To show a fair comparison to other tents, weight does NOT include stakes. While doing your research, keep in mind that some tents require 8 to 10 stakes to pitch, which most don't include in their claimed weight. Murphy Ultralight Tents don't require ANY stakes, though to improve ventilation and prevent your tent from becoming a really expensive kite, we strongly recommend using at least 2 of the 4 included stakes.

Instructions

Setting up the tent is relatively easy, considering you don't have to mess with trekking poles or guy lines. Simply slide the poles through the pole sleeves, like any traditional dome tent, feed the pole tips into their respective grommets, and cinch down the webbing in two corners. You're guaranteed a nice taught pitch every time. Attach the rain fly to the top of the tent if there's a chance of rain. Finally, place a stake in the ground on either side of the tent to assist with ventilation and to secure the tent to the ground. If conditions are windy, utilize the additional two stakes in the front and back of the tent.
